The ILAJE Association of USA Huston Texas, recently put smiles on the faces of residents and members in Ilajeland in Nigeria, as they donated and launched six different projects worth of millions of naira to the people.

The association’s President , Prince Kayode Enigbokan at an official launching ceremony on June 8th this year at the compound of Ilaje High School Igbokoda formally donated medical boat, ambulance, public toilet, school materials , a police post, and organized a free medical fair for residents who had health challenges.

The Ilaje sons and daughters in diaspora organized free medical fair attended to people with health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes, fever and skin as they were checked, treated and drugs administered to them freely .

Speaking at the occasion, President, Ilaje Association of USA Huston Texas, Prince Kayode Enigbokan who was accompanied by his vice, Pastor Stephen Odusola, explained that their gesture was targeted at “saving our people from premature death,and ensuring that they are productive to be able to move Ilajeland to greater heights”.

Enigbokan stressed that the Association was formed to cater for sons and daughters at home and in diaspora.

He pointed out that the Association’s visit and donation was also meant to challenge politicians within and around Ilaje to be up and doing in rendering obligatory services to the community for the betterment of the entire area.

Also speaking at the event the, Olu of Igbokoda , Barr. Afolabi Odidi, lamented that Igbokoda General Hospital did not have enough equipment to save lives and thanked members of the ILAJE Association of USA, Huston, Texas for their donation which he described as timely.

Oba Odidi donated three solar powered light for the use of the public toilet to illuminate them for prospective users of the facilities.
