Former FIFA President Sepp Blatter has had a successful surgery after being diagnosed with skin cancer and has been released from hospital, according to his spokesman on Sunday.
Blatter’s spokesman Thomas Renggli told the press that the 80-year old Blatter who was disgraced out of office as FIFA President recently required the surgery for skin cancer in Zurich ,but was in no danger at the time.
Renggli disclosed; “the operation took place on Wednesday and was successful and Sepp Blatter left the clinic on Thursday to return home. Great, he is fine .”
Mr Blatter served and functioned as President of FIFA, world football’s governing body from 1998 to 2015, but was suspended from all football related activities for six years by a FIFA Ethics Committee.
All things working well for him, he will file an appeal against the decision held by the Court of Arbitration for Sport sometime in August.
