UPN advises political parties against politicising Chibok girls abduction,


The Unity Party of Nigeria,UPN,has called on politicians in the country to stop politicising of the abduction of over 200 school girls fo Chibok, Borno state.

The National Secretary of UPN, ALhaji Abdullahi Sokoto,gave the advise in Abuja while addressing the press on the current security situation in the country.

The UPN according to him frowns at the way key political players in the country are handling the issue of abduction of the over 200 girls presently at the whims and caprises of the Boko Haram group.

“Political leaders should brief the Federal Government with any information at their disposal that could help to recover the abducted girls and not just make misleading and inflammatory statements in public that could discourage those that are making concerted efforts to locate and effect the release of the girls”he added.

Sokoto urged political parties to desist from using security challenges in the country to score cheap political points against on another.

He applauded the support of other nations to Nigeria in the fight against Boko Haram group and expressed the hope that the offer will not compromise the security of the country.
