Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan has stated that all those who took part in unleashing terror on the country would be made to pay for their actions.
Dr Jonathan stated this last Saturday during a presidential breakfast prayer session held at the banquet hall, Aso Rock Villa in Abuja.
The President with whom was the President Benin Republic, Mr Bonny Yayi, state governors, Ministers and heads of government ministries and parastatals expressed absolute confidence in the determination of Nigerians to overcome the evil of insurgency and continue to grow from strength to strength.
He called on the people not to relent in their prayers for the nation noting that with God all things were possible.
The President called on the people to remain united in the face of adversity and stressed the need to be extra vigilant all the time.
In his speech at the prayer, Benin Republic President, Mr Bonny Yayi said it is not the will of God for Boko Haram to be in Nigeria, the sub region and pledged the support of his country in the fight against terrorism.
In another speech at the occasion, the Director General, Institute of Transformation, Prof Vincent Anibogu noted that the country recorded economic growth despite the security challenges.
He stressed the need for Nigeria to invest in infrastructures, fight corruption and be patriotic.
