RESTRUCTURING : NTA, FRCN,EFCC,ICPC retains autonomy

The Federal government has rejected recommendations before her for the merger of media outfits,the Nigeria Television Authority NTA,FEDERAL RADIO Corporation of Nigeria FRCN,and the Voice of Nigeria to become Federal Federation Broadcasting Commission of Nigeria.
Government rejection was contained in the report of a white paper issued on Monday in Abuja on the report of a presidential committee earlier set upon the restructuring and rationalisation of federal government parastatal,commissions and agencies.
The white paper also rejected the recommendation for the merger of WAEC, NABTEB,NECO, but upheld that JAMB should continue to function as the central examination body for admissions into Nigerian Universities.
It also rejected submission before it that EFCC,ICPC, Code of Conduct Bureau be merged and the name Code of Conduct Tribunal was also retained.
The Federal government however merged the Nigeria Aviation Management Authority,Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority and Nigeria Meteorological Agency to become known as Federal Civil Aviation Authority.
