Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan orders cancellation of immigration recruitment exercise

NEWS

Nigeria’s President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered the immediate cancellation of recently held employment exercise conducted by the country’s immigration department of the Ministry of Interior.     During the exercise close to 20 applicants mainly youths and pregnant women lost their lives as a result of Stampede at the jampacked exercise held in stadiums across the country. A 7 man panel has been set up to forthwith arrange another exercise while one of the major resolution of the president was that three members of any applicant who died during the incident would automatically be employed.  The Minister of Interior, Alhaji, Abba Moro and Comptroller General of Immigration are however said to have been queried by the President.  There are no comments yet on the #520million raked in as fees for purchase of forms by applicants online. It is believed that the last may not have been heard on this matter.
