A vote of no confidence has been passed by members of the organized labour in Ondo State on the administrative secretary of the State local government Commission, Mrs Odunayo Ketiku.
The vote of no confidence verdict was made known as the members of the unions comprising of the State Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress and Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, staged a peaceful protest to the premises of the Local Government Commission in Akure ,capital of Ondo State.
Led by the NLC chairperson ,Mrs Bosede Daramola, the unions accused her and other members of the Commission of ineptitude and insensitivity to the plight of workers of the Commission in the State.
Daramola explained that the administrative secretary was guilty of indiscriminate placing of junior workers above their superiors for selfish interest and thereby called on the State Governor to remove her as administrative secretary and replace her immediately.
The unions described her as behaving bigger than the system in which she is employed and serving.
Speaking on the development as he intervened , the Special Adviser to the Ondo state Government on Union matters, Mr Dayo Fadahunsi called on the workers to remain calm and go about their normal duties with a promise that the government will wade into the matter.
