Seven Nigerian girls who are stranded in Abidjan have called on the Nigerian Embassy to help them to return to Nigeria to reunite with their family.

According to NAN in Abidjan the girls revealed that they were brought to Cote d'Ivoire by one Cynthia and Dele and were made to serve as sex workers contrary to their expectation.

The girls are said to have claimed that they were provided accommodation in a brothel when they landed in Abidjan.

They described the situation they were being made to face in the place as nothing but a case of slavery and intimidation, hence their call on the Nigerian embassy to free them.

Meanwhile, the Secretary General of the Nigerians in Cote d'Ivoire, Mr Collins Chiaha assured that they would continue to wade into and tackle all cases that involved trafficking of Nigerians.
