Gunmen abduct sons of Kogi Assembly Speaker

Unknown gunmen have seized two sons of the Speaker Kogi state House of assembly, Mr Momoh Jimoh Lawal.
Chief Press Secretary of the Speaker, Mr Augustine Akubo who announced the abduction gave the names of the speakers two sons as Ogirima aged 7 years and Afeez aged 3years.
Akubo said that the gun men reportedly scaled over the fence of the speakers residence ,broke through the main entrance door and at gun point threatened to kill the speakers wife after which they took away their two sons.
“they also carted away household utensils, electronic gadgets and cash from the speakers wife”, he added.
He pointed out that the incident happened in the family residence of the speaker at Okenwe in Okene local government area.
According to him, as at the time of filing this report no communication has yet been established between the gunmen and the speaker.
Speaking on the condition of the speaker, Akubo said “he has remained calm, calculated and prayerful, hoping that the abductors of his sons would get in touch with him or any of his family member.
