The Ondo State Government has promised that it will continue to lift the socio –economic substance of the State.
Governor Olusegun Mimiko made the promise at the commissioning of the 10kilometre Igbotu-Uburo-Iporoga road in Eseodo local government area.
The governor commended the people of the communities in the area for their cooperation especially the youths in ensuring that the project was delivered according to schedule.
He promised more development projects aimed at improving the socio-economic upliftment of the riverine area.
Mimiko said that government intervention on the roads became necessary to alleviate difficulties experienced on the road by the people of the area and the fact that successive governments in the state abandoned the roads.
He lauded the efforts of the Ondo State Asphalt Company on the raod ,a job which he described as well done.
He also assured that the Ipojoba, Irele, Sabomi road in the area will soon be completed.
Governor Mimiko said the local vanguard will soon be launched in the area to engage the youths to clear water hyacinth on the sea.
Earlier in his speech at the road commissioning, the Chairman, OSOPADEC, Pastor Johnson Ogunyemi thanked the governor for impacting on the socio-economic wellbeing of the people of Ilaje Eseodo local government councils.
The commissioning of the road was witnessed by amongst others the traditional rulers of the area ,who pledged their continued support to the present administration for its strides to lift the area.
