The Federal Government has said that it was committed to complete the remodeling of the four international airports in the country within the next 24months.
Supervising Minister of Aviation ,Dr Samuel Ortom made the disclosure during an inspection visit he paid on Tuesday to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
The other international airports in the country undergoing remodeling are the Lagos ,Kano and Port Harcourt Airports.
Dr Ortom explained that when completed, the projects would significantly transform the aviation sector ,boost revenue generation and trigger high passenger traffic.
He added that the terminals would be built to world class standards and be able to accommodate eight aircrafts at the same time .
He stressed that the remodeling works on the airports commenced in March this year.
The Minister posited that though the time lag for the completion of the project was 24months ,the progress report shows that it might in fact be completed before their due date.
