Kaduna State Governor-elect, Mallam Nasir El Rufai has said that all stolen money by the outgoing ruling party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, must be refunded as soon as the incoming government of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is sworn in on May 29 ,2015.
The former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, made the statement while addressing executive members of the National Union of Textile Garments and Tailoring Workers of Nigeria, NUTGTWN, who paid him a courtesy visit in his private residence in Kaduna.
El-Rufai said, “we will politely ask those who stole government money to return the funds in view of the fact that it has become so glaring that majority of the people who are in government now (PDP) are there to work for themselves.
He noted that the distinct difference between those there now and the incoming APC government is that those that are about to take over the mantle of leadership are made up of people who are ready to work for the masses and betterment of the country.
“We will work with the textiles union to ensure that living conditions of the average Nigerian gets better”, the Kaduna State governor elect said.
Mallam El Rufai decried what he termed as the “shameful” state of the textiles industry in the area, pledging that his government will reverse the trend.
