EDO INEC nab 3 NYSC members for ballot papers sale during 2015 Elections.

Edo State Resident Electoral Commissioner,Mr Mike Igini has announced the arrest of three members of the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, who served as ad hoc staff during the 11 April House of Assembly elections in Edo State,.
Mr Igini revealed to reporters in Benin,Edo State capital that the Corpers were caught for allegedly selling ballot papers and other sensitive materials.during the 2015 general elections in the State.
The arrested Corps members were among 15, 000 adhoc and members of staff of the Commission used in the conduct of the 2015 general elections in the State.
The Edo Rec  said the three NYSC members allegedly sold two packets of ballot papers for N40,000, while two staff of the commission who could not account for election materials given to them were suspended.

The REC said investigations have commenced to determine the level of involvement of the two INEC staff with a view to determine whether their act was deliberate or out of sheer negligence.
Mr Mike Igini gave an assurance that because the offence for which the Corpers were napped was grevious they would be made to face the music.
