FAITH… >“ This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith”….1 John 5 :4
For a truth in ones lifetime when your health, your finances or any member of your family is at risk you suddenly realise how fragile life is. Today you may be living on the sunny side of the street but if you are lucky to live long enough, adversity will one day come knocking on your door.
When it does, you will discover that things like power, possessions and popularity won’t sustain you. If power could do it. Joseph Stalin wouldn’t have been afraid to go to sleep at night or been so paranoid that he appointed a soldier to guard his tea bags. If possession could do it, fear would not have caused billionaire Howard Hughes to live like a hermit and die alone.
If popularity could do it, John Lennon’s biographers would not have described him as a fearful man who slept with lights on and was terrified of germs. Earthly supports can only sustain you so long.
Courage for living comes from deep abiding trust in God, whose word says, “This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith.’ But faith is only as valuable as the thing its placed in, and our faith is in a God who never fails ! David said ; Through you we push back our enemies; through your name we trample our foes (Psalm 44 : 5 )
Jesus said, “I have given you authority to…..overcome all the power of the enemy….”( Luke 10 ded: 19 ). Paul said, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword ?… No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us ‘ (Romans 8 : 35—37 ).
We live in days when the devil is attacking the confidence of men in God. You must protect your confidence if you will last and fulfill your destiny. Without faith, it is impossible to please God and when you please God, even your enemies will be at peace with you. There is a need to develop a working knowledge of faith in our lives daily.
The subject of faith is the most important subject in the bible as without it you cannot please God. Everything we do must be done as an act of faith.
It is possible to be doing a spiritual act that is not an act of faith but fear. Faith is the public display of confidence in God and His ability to help you while fear is the public display of confidence in Satan and his ability to hurt you.
Everything you do must be done as an act of faith for it to be acceptable by God. Job in his days did spiritual acts of sacrifice borne out of fear and not faith (Job 3:25). The fear of people moved him to do spiritual things like prayers and sacrifice. But everything done out of fear is displayed as confidence in Satan before God; hence it is not acceptable by God.
One reason why bad things happen to good people is that most good people are not scripturally good but naturally good. You can be a naturally good person that is violating the laws and the principles of the spirit thereby exposing yourself to satanic assault. Faith and fear are both spirit forces that exercise a magnetic pull in the spirit.
Fear magnetizes negative things towards the person exercising it and Faith magnetizes positive things towards the person exercising it. Fear creates the atmosphere for the devil to work and faith creates the atmosphere for God to work. It is not just prayer that changes things but power. Prayer gives you a vehicle to bring your faith to contact divine power.
Faith will contact God’s power and fear will contact satan’s power. People can end up hooking up with satan’s power as they pray in fear and not faith. When you bring faith to the place of prayer, then you contact God’s power that generates a positive outcome.
Make up your mind today to develop your faith. Get a working knowledge of faith that will bring God to the scenes of your life and keep your life in the realm of the miraculous.
Prayer: Father, I pray for the conscious effort to build a scriptural faith that will make my life and acts to please you. I cast out every spirit of fear that wants to release satanic activities into my life in Jesus’ name.
