Imo State Commissioner of Police ,Mr Taiwo Lakanu, has assured residents and the state government that his command will do everything possible to apprehend the murderers of U.S-based Imo indigene, Mr Chuks Okebata.
Deceased Okebata,an indigene of Mbieri in Mbaitoli Local Government Area of the state, was abducted and murdered by unknown gunmen while holidaying in Nigeria with family members .
The Commissioner of Police gave the assurance on Monday pledging the commands commitment to track down the bandits.
He said the bandits could only hide for a while, but that the police would do everything possible to uncover those behind the crime.
Lakanu, who described returnees to the country as the major targets of criminals, advised the masses to be security conscious at all times.
Late Okebata had visited Nigeria to spend the Yuletide and New Year with his family only to meet with untimely death last Thursday.
